Buy 4 Less Grocery Store was established back in the early 1990’s by longtime local resident Steve Fetzer. It was designed as an alternative to the local big box grocery stores in an attempt to save the residents of Lodi money on their weekly shopping bill.
Working with area food distributors in an effort to better manage their inventories, Buy 4 Less committed to market and sell their out of balance goods. This includes overstock items, or products that are over purchased. In return for our efforts to move the product promptly, Buy 4 Less receives a substantial discount off of the distributor price.
This commitment has allowed us to offer a large selection of high quality name brand items, priced well below chain store regular prices for almost 20 years now!
Since the down turn in the economy, it turns out this was a great plan. Everyone is looking for a way to stretch their dollar, and we at Buy 4 Less are certain that if you stop here first, you will save money over the other markets in our community. Truth is, we may not have everything on your list, but what we do have you will Buy-4-Less!!
Over the years, Buy 4 Less has expanded to what it is today. Along with isles of high quality name brand groceries, we feature a selection of products brought in fresh daily and weekly from vendors that supply other markets in the area. Our produce is delivered fresh 6 days a week, and we feature Crystal dairy products delivered to our door every week. We carry a complete line of frozen and deli items that are brought into the store several times each week. And then there are the special buys we receive. On a regular basis, our suppliers come up with extra special deals on products that you use every day. This may be chips from Frito Lay, paper or household items, and even food for the family pet. We feature these items on displays throughout the store. Be sure you check in with us regularly because we are never sure when these special deals are coming, and many of these items just don’t last very long.
Over the last few months we have committed to increasing our inventory on organic and gluten free items. For our customers with special dietary needs, this is a very welcome addition to our inventory. We hope to source more items in the future to add variety to these offerings.
We invite you stop by and check out our selection of Rainbow breads, Coke beverages, Lays chips, and Tia Rosa & Mission tortillas and snacks. Our team is here to assist you in finding what you need 7 days a week.
As part of out commitment to the neighborhood, Buy 4 Less is a certified WIC outlet. We also accept EBT cards, most major credit cards, checks, and if you insist, we’ll take cash.
As a first time customer, or a regular shopper, we welcome your comments. Feel free to ask for a manager to share your thoughts about the store. Whether it’s a pricing concern or something you’d like to us carry, we’d like to hear what you have to say.
